Eligibility and Benefits
Membership is open to anyone who lives in or around Abingdon including those who live in other towns in the district. All you need is an interest in art and the creative process!
We hold exhibitions, demonstrations, talks and workshops and provide opportunities for Members to meet and discuss their artistic interests. Our membership currently stands at around 90.
This website describes all the activities that are open to members and a copy of the Constitution is available. Members may also have images of their work in the online Gallery. They may also join the Abingdon Artists FaceBook Group. Members of Abingdon Artists also benefit from a 10% discount when buying art supplies in person from Broad Canvas, 20 Broad St, Oxford, OX1 3AS and Lewis Baker in Abingdon.
For the year 2024-25 the cost of Annual Membership is £35, with a reduction to £17 for those joining after September 1st. (Membership runs from March to the February of the following year).
If you are interested to learn more about our activities, please email the Membership Secretary, Andrea Whitehouse. Our monthly meetings programme offers a wide variety of talks, demonstrations and workshops. There is a £5 entry fee for non-members. All are welcome, though places at workshops may be restricted to Abingdon Artist members only and must be booked.
If you wish to join Abingdon Artists please email your details as on the application form, which you will find by clicking here, to the Membership Secretary, Andrea Whitehouse, particularly if you wish to pay the subscription fee by Bank Transfer.
