| The Death of Marion Cox |
 |
Sadly Marion Cox, who was for many years a Member of Abingdon Artists, has died. She often exhibited with Abingdon Artists and gave valuable assistance on the hanging committee. She was much admired for her greatly talented art work, particularly portraits, about which she was extremely modest. Here follows the death notice from the Oxford Times: COX Marion Elizabeth Passed away peacefully on 8th July 2019. A much loved wife of the late Ken Cox. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday 31st July at St Mary's Church Wheatley, 4pm. Family flowers only please. | Ken Messer donates a picture |

Watercolour Demonstration by Ken Messer at the March 2016 Meeting Abingdon Artists and guests were treated to an inspiring evening with a demonstration by the highly regarded artist Ken Messer. Ken talked us through his techniques whilst creating a beautiful watercolour. He very generously donated the painting to the Society to help raise funds for future events. It will be raffled at the next exhibition in October. Watch this space for a chance to win it! |
